Pretty packaging, floral scents and all for half the price. I think it’s safe to say that we have all been very loyal patrons to our local CVS or Target when comes to buying makeup or beauty products. Although there are some great selections from L’Oreal to Maybelline there are the occasional misses that we should steer clear from.
I am sure we have all seen this pink product in every market store! This Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Acne Wash is actually a miss. Many have raved and ranted on how this product dried out their skin without clearing their acne. Instead some great drugstore alternatives include the St. Ives Apricot Face Wash, Neutrogena Deep Clean, or Olay Regenerating Cream Cleanser.
Unless you’re going to a costume party or its Halloween Wet n Wild eye shadows may not be the choice when it comes to everyday smoky eyes! The verdict is that these eye shadows are lacking in pigment and smears off very easily. We recommend trying out L’Oreal Paris Studio Secrets Professional Eye Shadow singles or Maybelline New York Eye Studio color tattoo 24HR Cream Gel Eye Shadow.
The fragrance is pretty and the lather is great but Softsoap Body Wash Juicy Pomegranate and Mango fails in leaving the skin moisturized and smooth! For smoother skins try out Aveeno Daily Wash, Caress Tempting Whisper Body Wash, and Olay Ultra Moisture Wash.
When it comes to blush and bronzers watch out for the Cover Girl TruBlend Minerals Blush and N.Y.C Bronzer! The Cover Girl blush from the pigmentation to the packaging had a pretty low rating. As for the N.Y.C bronzer there has been many complaints about the orangey brown tone rather than achieving a natural bronze look. Instead we recommend Milani Bronzer XL powder or Maybelline Fit Me Bronzer Pressed Powder for bronzer. For blush check out the infamous E.L.F Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder and L’Oreal Paris True Match Blendable Blush.
